Preparation:
- Sift the flour into a bowl and add the remaining ingredients.
- Knead the dough and divide it into equal parts. Shape each piece into a ball.
- Put the balls in a pan and pour over with plenty of oil. Allow the balls to relax for 10-15 minutes.
- Mix all the ingredients for the stuffing.
- Stretch each ball into a large circle on a tablecloth. Pour in a little oil and put a few tablespoons of the stuffing.
- Using a tablecloth, roll the rolls and place in a greased tray. Continue this way with the other balls.
- Allow the shaped bun to rest for about 10 minutes.
- Bake for about 35 minutes in a preheated 180 degree oven.
- Spray the finished banitza with water and cover with a cloth.
