Besides a large consumer of quality wheat Topaz Mel is also a big producer. The total capacity of the silo facility amounts to 160,000 tons.
The construction of a new silo tower with 6 silos with a capacity of 43,000 tons is due. The silo farm consists of two bases.
The intake of grain is carried out on five self-unloading areas with a total capacity of 600 tons per hour. An average sample is taken from each vehicle by means of automatic samplers.
The silos are equipped with automatic temperature control system, which allows a better storage of the wheat.
A grain dryer has also been built as part of the silo facility at Topaz Mel with a capacity of 100 tons per hour.
The assessment of the wheat’s quality is performed in a contemporary equipped reception laboratory.
After carrying out a full analysis, the wheat is cleaned, sorted and stored in silo cells in batches with certain quality indicators.
