The company handles over 43,000 acres of its own farmland.
The plots are located in the region of Karnobat and planted with the best of Bulgarian, Austrian, German and French varieties of soft wheat and since 2013 some areas have been planted with Austrian varieties of durum wheat.
The yield of own wheat allows the company to monitor the parameters of incoming raw materials and to maintain consistently high quality of the final product.
Over the years, Topaz Mel has built and put into operation three mills with a total capacity of grain processing of 900 tons per day. The first mill was put into operation in 2001 and has been equipped with machines of the Czech company “Prokop”, while the other two are constructed under the design and with the equipment of the Swiss company “Buhler” – a world leader in the construction of milling facilities.
The mills possess high-end grinding equipment, ensuring the entire cleaning and adequate preparation of the wheat for the conduction of a high-tech process and obtaining high-quality milled products.
To ensure product safety, sterilizers and metal detectors have been set up in the mill installation. All processes and units in the mill complex are connected in a control system that ensures full traceability of products and allows full control.
The mills have been equipped with an automated mixing system that enables the production of various types of high-quality flour. There is an opportunity to produce flour with parameters set by the client.
